EASY EGG – TUNA SANDWICH: an all time favourite.
Ingredients:
Hard boiled eggs – 2
Canned Tuna fish – 2 tbsps.
Large slices of Bread -4
Butter – 2 tsps.
Lettuce leaves – 2
Onion – 1 small chopped
Bottled Mayonnaise – 2 tbsps.
Bottled Mustard sauce – 1/2 – 1 tbsp.
Ground pepper – 1/4 tsp.
Packaged curry powder – 1/4 tsp.
Salt – to taste
Procedure:
Chop eggs finely or simply mash with a fork. Add all the other ingredients and mix well but with a light hand.
Butter the bread slices. Spread the lettuce leaves on two slices. Place the prepared egg-tuna filling. Sandwich with the other two slices and press.
Cut the sides of the bread and serve with potato wafers and tomato ketchup.
This is a wholesome option for the kid’s lunch/snack box and a great breakfast or tea-time favourite; also an occasional dinner time tuck-in with hot soup and a salad!
