Ingredients:
Arua rice – 2 cups
Gur – 2 cups
Ghee/Refined oil – 2 cups
Salt – 2 pinches
Sesame seeds (rasi) – 1 tbsp.
Water – 1 cup
Procedure:
Soak rice overnight in water.
Drain the water and spread the rice on a cloth and leave for half an hour under the fan.
Grind the rice to powder (not a smooth powder but slightly grainy)
In a kadhai, take one cup of water and add two pinches of salt to it. Add the gur and cook until you get a sticky consistency.
Add the rice powder and go on stirring on low flame until you get a soft dough consistency.
Remove and keep aside.
Heat ghee/oil in a kadhai.
Making a small roundel of the warm dough, flatten to about 1/2 inch thickness and 3 inches diameter and press on sesame seeds. Drop into the hot oil and fry on medium flame until reddish brown.
