CHICKEN STEW: This is anytime comfort food, wholesome and tasty!!!!!
Ingredients:
Chicken legs – 4 nos.
Onion – 1 large (chopped)
Garlic paste – 3/4 tsp
Bay leaf (tej patta) – 2 nos.
Whole peppercorns: 15 nos.
Butter: 1 tbsp
Maida: 1 tsp
Milk: 1/3 cup
Water: 3 cups
Salt: to taste
Ground Pepper: 1/4 tsp
Carrots, Beans, Potatoes – 1 cup, all 3 together (cut into 1″ pieces)
Procedure:
In a pressure pan on low flame take 1 tbsp. butter. As it melts, add bay leaf and pepper corns.
As the bay leaf sizzles, add the onion and saute for a minute. Add garlic pasdte and saute for half a minute.
Add the chicken legs and saute for 4 to 5 mts until the skin has a singed look. Add the vegetables and saute for a minute.
Add the salt. Add the water.
Dissolve the maida in 4 tbsp of water and add to the chicken.
Place the lid and pressure cook for 15 – 20 mts.
Remove from flame, open lid and add the milk. Replace on flame and bring to a boil.
Remove and add the ground pepper. Serve hot with buttered bread.
